Barbara Ann (Smith) Schwind, 75, of Green Lane, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Life Quest Nursing Center in Quakertown. She was the beloved wife of Robert F. Schwind, celebrating 54 years of marriage last May.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert H. and Dorothy H. (Adams) Smith.

Barbara was a hostess for her parents’ restaurant, the former Candlewyck Inn, in Green Lane and prior to that she worked at Lower Merion S&L for several years.

She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Pennsburg where she was a greeter and Eucharistic Minister.

Surviving along with her husband, are her son, Brian Patrick Schwind and wife, Denise E. of Alburtis, PA; a nephew, Robert H. Smith, III of Spinnerstown, PA; a niece, Kimberly Hamada of Doylestown, PA; and her “grand-dog” Bentley. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Robert H. Smith, Jr.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073 with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating.
