Obituary for Dorothy E. Price
Dorothy E. (Miller) Price, 88, of Red Hill, widow of Lawrence L. Price, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 in Pennsburg Manor.
Born in Quakertown, she was a daughter of the late Frederick C. and Katie A. (Angstadt) Miller.
She worked as a Sewing Machine Operator for the former Daut’s Manufacturing and also Jennifer Ann Company in Red Hill for many years retiring in 1990. She also sewed at home for many years.
Dorothy was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sumneytown.
Surviving are four children, Elaine A. Keller of Pennsburg, Sharon K. Price of Red Hill, Jerry L. Price and wife, Claudia of Wyalusing and Kevin L. Price and wife, Sharon L. of Pennsburg; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Along with her parents, she is predeceased by two brothers, Lester and Robert Miller.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 3104 Main Street, Sumneytown, PA 18073 with Rev. Rebecca Schanely and Rev. Charles H. Eiss, Jr. officiating. Burial follows in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Spinnerstown. A viewing will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA and also from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
