Obituary for Daniel C. Buckwalter

Daniel C.  Buckwalter
Daniel C. Buckwalter, 54, of Green Lane, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017.
Born in Phoenixville, he was a son of Elizabeth “Betty” J. (Ivens) Joiner of Rockhall, Maryland and the late James W. Buckwalter.

He was a 1981 graduate of Boyertown High School, honorably served in the U.S. Army then worked as a Spray Painter at Knoll for many years.

Dan was a member of the VFW Post #5954, Red Hill, and enjoyed boating, fishing and crabbing, watching the Three Stooges and listening to classic rock music.

Surviving along with his mother are his companion, Wendy Bretz of Green Lane; and eight siblings, Dorothy Jensen of Chestertown, MD, Diane Wood and companion, Michael Basil of Stowe, Christine, wife of Harold Faust of Sumneytown, Sandra, wife of Herb Gruber of Frenchville, Lynn, wife of Scott Husted of Kylertown, Florence Lee of Pennsburg, James W. Buckwalter and wife, Sharon Evans of Radford, VA and Melissa, wife of Mark Heister of Wyomissing.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 3104 Main Street, Sumneytown, PA 18073 with Rev. Rebecca Schanely officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at church prior to the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA.
