Condolences

Condolence From: Pastor Marianne Unger
Condolence: Marvin was a man who touched my heart deeply in the short time I had the privilege of being his Pastor. I loved spending time with him and I know our relationship was special because he shared his home made scrapple with me. I think about him so often and this year, I am going to attempt to make scrapple in his memory and honor. I won't be shooting any deer to do so, but if it gets half as good as Marvin's, I'll be happy. I know how much you loved seafood Marvin. Hope you're eating a lot of it in heaven. Peace and blessings to his family and praying for the comfort of the promise that when we are children of God, some day we'll all be together in our eternal home. When I get there, I'm going to look forward to sitting down with Marvin and enjoying a few dozen clams.

Condolence From: Lori DeFrain
Condolence: Marvin was a wonderful man. I first met him when Ella Mae needed assistance. He was busy worrying about Ella, and about getting his beets canned. Through time, Ella left us, and then it was time for Marvin to need our help. I became his clam girl. I was the only one who could steam the clams and melt the butter just right. I was the last caregiver to make him clams. I even hand fed them to him, as he was unable to sit up to feed himself. I love Marvin. I got to be his date for Jamie's wedding. We both wore black, with brown shoes. Even had him up on the dance floor. Going to his house was like going home for me. It will never be the same. I know he is happy now, and healthy now, and whole in the loving arms of The Lord, and with his dear Ella Mae. Rest in peace, my dear friend. I will always love you. Terry and Larry, I hope you both know proud he was of you both. There were many times he told me he raised two good men. I will miss my clam man, but I know he was not for any of us to keep. My deepest love and sorrow, Larry and Terry. Remember, absent from the body is present with The Lord.
