Obituary for Deborah J. Fisher (Johnson)

Deborah J. (Johnson) Fisher, 65, of Temple, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. She was the companion of Vince Festa for 15 years.

Born in Norristown, she was a daughter of the late Harry J. and Kathryn J. (Watson) Johnson Sr.

She was a 1970 graduate of Wissahickon High School. She worked as a Supervisor of Records Management for the former Limerick Generator Station now known as Exelon.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Niantic, a lifetime member of Sassamansville Fire Company and a member of the Mothers of Twins Club for many years as her daughters were growing up. She was also the Captain of Fire Police of Upper Frederick Fire Company.

She loved penguins and enjoyed going to Chincoteague and Cape May with Vince.

In addition to her companion, she is survived by her daughters, Staci L. Fisher, companion, Joe McKinney of Collegeville, Nanci L., wife of Dan Freese of Reading; five grandchildren, Victoria, Dakota, Kelsey, Wyatt and Veronica; brother, Harry J. “Skip” Johnson and wife, Cosie of Helmville, MT; sister, Kathryn J., wife of Leroy Miller of Dandridge, TN and her beloved miniature poodle, Rosie.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister Donna J. Bernhard.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on August 29, 2017 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA with Rev. Matthew Ollikainen officiating. Burial follows in Christ Union Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to an evening before viewing Monday, August 28, 2017 from 7 to 8 pm and from 10 to 11 am Tuesday before the service.
