Obituary for Charles J. "Charlie" Fleder

Charles J. "Charlie"  Fleder
Charles “Charlie” J. Fleder, 85, husband of the late Cecelia Patricia (McGlone) Fleder, formerly of Alburtis, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Lutheran Home at Topton.

Born in Stuebenville, Ohio, he was a son of the late Francis and Adella (Warcekauckulete) Fleder.

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War.

Charles was a line man and technician repairman for Bell Telephone for 42 years, retiring in 1994.

He enjoyed boating at Long Beach Island and loved and cared for his collie, Buster. He was also a pilot and enjoyed flying small airplanes.

Surviving are two children, Ed Fleder and wife, Jackie of Patagonia, Arizona and Carol L. Stierly and husband, John of Alburtis; a sister, Marsha Fleder of Columbus, Ohio; and 4 grandchildren, Tamara, Jasmin, Andrea and Sean. Along with his parents and wife, he is predeceased by three brothers, Father Peter Grabaskas, Stanley Grabaskas and Francis Fleder.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Fort Indiantown Gap Cemetery, Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, PA. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041. Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
