Obituary for Dennis O. Krause

Dennis O.  Krause
Dennis O. Krause, 82, of Pennsburg, passed away unexpectedly on Friday March 31, 2017 in his home. He was the husband of Maryann R. (Raymock) Krause celebrating 61 years of marriage on November 12th.

Born in Pennsburg, PA, he was a son of the late Russell C. and Mary (Young) Krause.

He was the former owner of the Shady Nook Restaurant for 4 ½ years and previously had owned the Quakertown Motel Restaurant for 2 years, and the former Recreation Center in East Greenville for 5 years. He also worked at the former Melrath for 16 years.

He was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus in Schwenksville.

Along with his wife, he is survived by four children, Michael P. Krause of Pennsburg, Ann Marie, wife of Donald L. Berger of Kintnersville, Lisa M., wife of Randy Nace, Jr. of Muncy, PA and Mathew D. Krause and wife, Candy of Pennsburg; two brothers, Dale Krause and David Krause, both of East Greenville; two sisters, Judy, wife of Edward Brinkman of Hub Mill and Karen, wife of George Uhl of Pennsburg; and six grandchildren, Lee, Christie, Danielle, Laura, Ashley and Samantha. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by a son, Dennis M. Krause and brothers, Darryl and Dean Krause.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday April 5, 2017 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073 with the Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Burial follows in Holy Cross Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
