Obituary for Donald A. Thoroughgood
Donald A. Thoroughgood, 88, widower of Rose M. (Pratt) Thoroughgood, of Quakertown, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at Genesis Healthcare-Quakertown Center.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Florence (Brittingham) Thoroughgood.
Donald proudly served his country in the NAVY during World War II where he earned a Victory Medal.
After being honorably discharged in 1948, he became a purchasing agent for Sunoco Corporation for 35 years until his retirement.
Surviving him are his children, Dave A. Thoroughgood of Quakertown and Joyce L., wife of Frank Rzonca of Quakertown; four grandchildren, Brandon Wagner, Courtney Wagner, Joseph Garcia and Andrew Garcia; and one great-granddaughter, Alexandria Wagner.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is predeceased by two sisters and five brothers.
Services will be announced at a later date. Cremation was entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville. Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
