Obituary for Douglas R. Kimber
Douglas R. Kimber, 63, of Pottstown, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017, at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery.
Born in Akron, OH, he was the son of Arlene (Fretz) Rivers of Green Lane and the late Robert L. Kimber.
He was a graduate of Souderton High School, where he played the trumpet in the band.
Douglas was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. He enjoyed playing board games and cards.
In addition to his mother, he will be missed by his sister, Lynette G. Nielsen of Green Lane, PA; his niece, Erika Lynn Nielsen; and several cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 3104 Main Street, Sumneytown, PA 18084 with Rev. Rebecca Schanely officiating. Burial will follow at Frieden’s Union Cemetery in Sumneytown. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
