Joseph M.  Verna
Joseph M. Verna, 88, of Pennsburg, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Mary A. (Roselli) Verna celebrating 62 years of marriage on October 3, 2016.

Born in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of the late William and Grace (Cimorelli) Verna.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and the U.S. Army Air Force.

He worked as an Industrial Sewing Machine Mechanic for his entire career.

He was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. He was an avid organic gardener and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Surviving along with his wife, are seven children, Paul J. Verna and his wife, Cathleen of Pennsburg, Mark J. Verna and wife, Jill of Germantown, MD, Joseph L. Verna of North Wales, Michael A. Verna and wife, Margaret of Peachtree Corners, GA, Christopher Verna of Del Ray, FL, Maria T. Verna of New York, NY and Luke J. Verna and wife, Kristina of Center Valley; and nine grandchildren. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Theresa Africano.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg PA 18073 with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Burial follows in Holy Cross Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. on Friday at the church prior to the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041. Offer sympathy to the family on our website at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
