Joseph F.  Gehringer
Joseph F. Gehringer, 96, formerly of Pennsburg, passed away quietly on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 in Florida with family around him. He was the husband of the late Catherine (McCue) Gehringer.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on June 2, 1920; he was a son of the late Christopher and Mabel (Clymer) Dugan Gehringer.

Joseph worked as a Foreman for Asplundh Tree Company for 25 years and for several years at Johnson and Johnson Pharmaceutical. He was the owner and operator of the Pennsburg Golf Center for 35 years; and a member of the PGA.

As an avid golfer his entire life, he participated in many golf tournaments with a “No Handicap” while winning his share. He was a Club Champion at Langhorne Country Club in the early 1960’s and had several Hole-In-Ones.

He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps.

He will be missed by his entire family including his six children, Hannah, wife of Michael Robinson, Mabel, wife of Keith Bloss, Joseph, husband of Madeleine (Frank) Gehringer, Robert, husband of Karen (Kulp) Gehringer, Christopher, husband of Rebecca (Davis) Gehringer and Patrick, husband of Debra (Ferguson) Gehringer; 19 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by siblings, John Scott, Lewis, Phillip, Jr., Luther, Christopher, Charles, Caroline and Marie.

A private funeral mass was held at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA. Offer sympathy to the family on our website at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
