Obituary for Eva M. Egolf (Frederick)

Eva M. (Frederick) Egolf, 84, widow of Richard W. Egolf, Sr. of Reading and formerly of Barto, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Berks Heim Nursing Home, Leesport.

Born in Niantic, PA she was a daughter of the late William and Mamie (Schoenly) Frederick.

Eva worked as a Sewing Machine Operator for many years at the former Rosenau Brothers, Red Hill; the former Jennifer Ann and in 1990 she worked at Ed Drost Co., in Sassamansville until retiring.

She was a member of Calvary United Church of Christ, Barto. Eva enjoyed baking and cooking, spending time with her family and especially loved her dog, Prince.

Surviving are three children, Roxanne Weidenhammer, Fleetwood, PA; Vickie, wife of Gregory Kintner, Bally, PA and Richard W. Egolf, Jr., husband of Sharon, Birdsboro, PA; three siblings, William Frederick Jr., husband of Delores, FL; Gerald Frederick, companion of Janet, Barto, PA and Mildred Frederick, Gilbertsville, PA; 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Wanda Canceliere and a sister, Marion Wlajnitz.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Calvary UCC, 1231 Rt. 100, Barto, PA 19504 with Rev. Linda Kozlowski officiating. Burial will be in Christ Union Niantic Cemetery, Niantic, PA. There will be a viewing from 10 am until 11am Wednesday at the church.
