Elizabeth A. "Betty"  Jabs
Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Schnaitman) Jabs, 84, widow of William F. Jabs, of Red Hill, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Pennsburg Manor.

Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter, of the late William and Margaret (Peterson) Schnaitman.
Betty was a graduate of Germantown High School in Philadelphia.

She worked for the former Woodson Dairy for 30 years as an Ice Cream Maker, and then worked in the Cafeteria at Marlborough Elementary School for 12 years before retiring in 2003.

She was a member of Pennsburg United Church of Christ and an Honorary Member of Red Hill Fire Company where she had served as the President and Secretary of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was also an avid Phillies fan.

Surviving are four children, Carol A., wife of Larry Kline of Green Lane; William J. Whitney of Oley; Kenneth E. Jabs, companion of Cristine Hatch of Red Hill; and Larry R. Jabs of East Greenville; 8 grandchildren, William Jabs, Brian Jabs, Brenda Diehl, Christine Focht, Karen Minner, Crystal Whitney, Scott Minner and Ken Jabs, Jr. and 12 great-grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, William F. Jabs, Jr. and a sister, Margaret Strigel.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA with Rev. Debra Timmins officiating. Burial follows in Pennsburg UCC Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
