Jean LaRue (Sell) Croissette, 88, wife of Claude L. Croissette, of Red Hill and daughter of the late Alvin D. and Dovetta (Frey) Sell, born in Towamencin Twp., on October 2, 1927 and passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Life Quest Nursing Center.

Jean was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Red Hill, where she was active with the Lunch Bunch since 1993.

She worked for the former Perkiomen Clothing, Red Hill for 38 years before retiring.

Jean loved to sew, cook, bake, and make crafts. She enjoyed being at all the family gatherings and spending time at the “Croissette's Rest-a-lot” cabin at Peck's Pond.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 72 years are three children, Cheryl, wife of Larry Weiss of Red Hill; Diane, wife of Robert Schantz of Pennsburg and Timothy Croissette, husband of Janis of Barto; a brother, James Sell of Hatfield; 7 grandchildren, Yvonne, wife of Rodney Shoemaker; Brock Weiss, husband of Sylvia; Drew Weiss, husband of Laurie; Kelly, wife of Jeffrey Sell; Ryan Schantz; Shaun and Darin Croissette; 9 great-grandchildren, Justin, Matthew, Jacob, Jack, Landon, Ethan, Olivia, Colin and Blake and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four siblings, Grace Leister, Bertha Allem Gehman and an infant brother and sister, Clarence and Irma.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041 with Rev. Wayne Shelor officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Red Hill. There will be a viewing from 6 pm to 7:30pm Friday evening and from 10am to 11 am Saturday at the funeral home.
