Obituary for Harry W. Quier, Jr.

Harry W. Quier, Jr. 85, husband of Helene C. (Kramer) Quier, of Milford Twp. Bucks Co. passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Life Quest Nursing Center, Quakertown.

Born in Springfield Twp. Bucks Co. PA, He was a son of the late Harry W. Sr. and Louise P. (Benner) Quier.

He was an installer of garage doors at the former Lehigh Valley Doors, Allentown for 23 years before retiring in 1992. Prior to that, he worked at the former Atlas Overhead Door, Quakertown for 15 years.

He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post #245 of Sellersville. He was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Pennsburg.

Surviving along with his wife of 53 years is a son, Gregory Quier of Milford Twp; daughters, Charmaine M. Hoffman of Millersburg, and Lorraine A. Q. and husband, Paul Novosat of Emmaus; a brother, Bruce Quier and wife, Kathleen Raab of Coopersburg; sister, Annette Keegan of Upper Bucks Co.; grandchildren, Alexis L. and John P. Hoffman of Millersburg and Paul Harry Novosat of Emmaus; sister-in-law, Jean L. Quier of Hellertown; former sisters-in-law, Patricia Quier of PA and Hazel Quier of Florida and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by an infant son, Gerard Quier; brothers, Lamar, William and his wife, Betty, Robert and Donald; sisters, Elaine and Shirley; nephew, Jeffrey; niece, Roberta; great nephews, Eric and Brian and brothers-in-law, Linford and Andrew.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church 1325 Klinerd Rd. Pennsburg, PA with the Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Burial will be private. There will be a visitation from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
